Meridian Reporting Platform
Meridian's regulatory reporting tool had grown feature by feature until analysts needed training courses just to file a return. We redesigned the core workflows around how analysts actually work.

Result
Report preparation time for analysts cut in half.
What we delivered
- UX research
- Information architecture
- UI design
- Design system
- Usability testing
The problem
Meridian's platform handled complex regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions. Powerful, but analysts spent more time navigating the tool than checking the numbers.
New analysts took months to become productive, and every deadline week generated a spike of support tickets.
What we did
We shadowed analysts through two reporting cycles and mapped where time actually went. Most of it was lost to hunting for data states: what's ready, what's blocked, what changed since yesterday.
We rebuilt the information architecture around the reporting cycle itself, designed a status-first dashboard, and introduced a validation flow that surfaces problems before submission day, not on it.
Everything shipped as a documented design system so Meridian's in-house team could extend it without us.
The outcome
Report preparation time was cut roughly in half within one quarter of rollout. Support tickets during deadline week dropped by two thirds, and onboarding time for new analysts fell from months to weeks.
